1. They say don’t judge a book by its cover. But when I began college in 2004, I took a random walk into Rhino Records in Claremont and looked around for new music. This album cover caught my eye. For whatever reason, its simplicity, fonts and colors sat well with me. I didn’t know who Interpol was, but had a feeling I would like them. I was right, and they fast became my favorite band of all time. The measure and purpose in this album matches the angles and minimalism of the cover, and that’s when everything started making sense.
